The owners of this Green Hills ranch wanted to add space beside the garage that would serve multiple purposes. They wanted a study for her that would double as a guest suite and also act as a pool house and spa.
The building was designed to mimic the architecture of a previous master bath addition. Geometric clerestories were built to span the eaves of traditional gable roof forms which created a fresh, contemporary statement inside and out. Together with a wall of French doors and Velux roof windows, expansive views were ever present of the pool, hot tub, water fall and landscaping.
The light-filled space inside consisted of the multi-purpose room the clients wanted, as well as a sauna, bath with steam shower, and heated tile floors throughout.
