When this client decided to move to Nashville, she contacted us about designing and building a new infill house to complement her site’s historic landscape. On the inside, she wanted a free-flowing public area, a first-floor master suite, and ready access to outdoor living.
Though the project was not in historic zoning, our design-build team approached it as though it were. Careful thought was given to form, massing, size, scale, and architectural features.
Inside, a casual, open floor plan for the kitchen, dining, and living areas invited togetherness. The space flowed to a screened room and deck overlooking the back yard. The master suite had its own hallway access for privacy. Upstairs were two bedrooms, a bath, and unfinished bonus room. The result is an eclectic mix of vintage and contemporary artfully blended.
